Rients Assessment & Consultation Services, Inc.---For your substance abuse needsAssessment/Referral

The assessment process generally begins with the client completing a brief questionnaire (prescreen).

Depending on the results of the prescreen as well as the details of why the individual is being seen, a structured clinical interview may follow.

During the interview process, the client's substance usage history will be explored to determine the level of problematic use. Diagnostic criteria from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Health Disorders-fourth edition (DSM-IV) is used in determining if the client has a substance abuse or dependence problem.

If the client demonstrates sufficient criteria to make a clinical diagnosis, the American Society of Addiction Medicine Patient Placement Criteria is used in determining the level of care required to meet the specific needs of the client.

Referrals for additional services are made based on each individual's unique needs. If services are required, the most typical services are:

Drinking Driver's Education Program

Individual Counseling

Extended Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment

Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment
